This article provides instructions for onboarding locks using an existing SmartThings account into your DACK portal. For the first time setting up a hub/lock/device, use this article.
Some tips for your hubs and devices:
Use names for your hubs and locks that can easily identify the property in which they belong.
Create a new SmartThings "Location" for each unique listing/property.
If you have locks that need to be duplicated in DACK to share across similar listings, you can simply follow the same steps below to add a lock multiple time in DACK. The only additional requirement would be to edit the "Device Name"
Onboarding a SmartThings Hub into DACK
Navigate to the IOT Devices screen on the Operator Dashboard and select Add IoT.
Select the brand of lock under the "Add Locks Via Samsung SmartThings"
Select the Account Name from the dropdown
Select the hub that the lock is associated with from the "IOT Vendor Account Detail" dropdown
For the field labeled "Device ID" please paste the lock device ID
In order to retrieve the Device ID, please navigate to the specific lock in SmartThings, click on it and copy the ID:
Select Verify Device ID to sync the provided details.
Edit the Lock Name if necessary
Select Add Device and your lock will be added
Your lock and connected devices will be viewable in the DACK Operator Portal on the IOT Devices screen.
