Connect your Point Central Locks to DACK

This integration sets up a communication between DACK and Point Central. DACK will generate and display door codes in the operator portal and the DACK Guest App.

Setup:

  • At this time initial setup will require contacting your account or customer success manager. Please schedule a time to screen share with your DACK rep and we can assist with linking your Point Central account with DACK (usually takes between 15-30 mins). Once your Point Central account is linked with DACK we can sync the locks to DACK and perform tests to check the health and function of the locks.

  • Once synced and tested, assign locks to units.

Guest Access:

  • Guests will be able to view their lock code in the DACK App, as well as use the TAP TO UNLOCK button during their stay.

Note: Initially, DACK will create a placeholder of a 4-digit code when a reservation comes in, or if a lock is assigned to a unit access point. This 4-digit code is only a placeholder as Point Central only accepts 6-digit codes. At the Pre-Check-in Window, DACK will then generate the guest’s 6-digit code that is then pushed to Point Central.

For example: Code 1234 may display in the operator portal for a guest reservation until 72 hours before check-in, where it will then generate and display to the guest a 6-digit code 829229 (for example) that will be used at check-in. The guest will never see the 4-digit code - again it is simply a placeholder.

Early Check-in:

  • Operators will need to offer Early Check-in as an Upsell item. Please use the Automated Early Check-in upsell type. When a guest makes this request and it is approved by the operator, DACK will communicate with Point Central to adjust the check-in time.

New Units:

  • When you add new units to your portfolio and they are not synced with DACK, please submit a ticket to support@dackinc.zendesk.com with the unit name and request a new integration. Once the integration is complete, you will follow the steps outlined above.

Requested/ In- Progress:

  • At this time, DACK’s integration with Point Central is for Locks ONLY. We are working toward integrating with Thermostat, Pool & Spa Heaters to allow guests and operators to view current temperatures through a dashboard.
